2.Can’t launch the game
There are also issues with a missing .dll for some people and an extra file in the game that needs deleting for other. You can try check download in this link http://ineedfile.com/metro-2033-crash-on-startup
3.Fix random crashes, and freeze at loading screen
Follow this step:
- Install DirectX – Navigate to THQ\Metro 2033\install\DirectX and run DXSETUP.exe
- Install Visual C++ Runtime – Navigate to THQ\Metro 2033\install\ and run vcredist_x86_sp1_atl_4053.exe

Try this trick:
- If you are running on a dual monitor setup, please unplug the secondary monitor before launching the game.
- If you managed to run the game once (and if it fails to load after the first run), delete the user.cfg file located in the game’s installation directory and try running the game.
5. FOV related issues
FOV (Field of Vision), Make the following adjustments to make it more playable:
- Go to the user.cfg file located at X:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Local\4A Games\Metro 2033
- Edit it with a text editor such as Notepad
- Find the value called: sick_fov 45.
- Change this value to sick_fov 90. (including the period at the end)
- Save and close the file. Now start the game.
6. x3daudio1_7.dll not found error
Update your directX into the latest version. Try update your graphic card’s driver too.

I there, i play dirt 2 online, and after some races (4-5-6) more or less, the game crash, image stay as a picture, no movement, than i press enter and go to desktop with the game closed, can you help me?
Thanks…
I have been trying to get to change my Fov, but i cant.
Everywhere i look there is either comments about changing fov in windows XP, or a steam installed copy. And i have neither of these.
I dont have a steam copy, and i dont have windows XP, i have windows 7 so i dont have a /applicationdata/ folder.
And i can find my metro2033 folder in my user folder but in there there are only save files, no user.cfg.
The only user.cfg i can find is the one in the original metro2033 folder and when i change the fov there nothing happens.
i am only using free virus scanners like avast and avira but they seem to be great tools though,.`
