For quite a long time, using a joystick in Windows to play games was a real pain. a generic one is not comfortable. You can only play limited game with it and, each game you must set up your configuration.
With the Xbox 360 Controller for Windows, Microsoft are trying to push it as a standard, and many games support it out of the box, the same way as you would expect as playing them on a Xbox 360 – just run the game, choose the controller as default and you are ready to go.

This joystick may not replace the whole console experience, but for a casual gamer as myself, who does not have or want a console, it’s perfect.
This wireless one works very well, batteries last long enough, feels great in your hands. Surely, don’t expect to match a keyboard and mouse precision for first person shooter games, but if you play for fun and relaxation, it does not matter how good you are. Standing on a desk, stooping over the mouse and keyboard is no match for sitting laid back on the sofa with the wireless joystick and really relaxing.
